Stayed here with the family. It's walking distance to cosy pubs and easy walks for the kids. We will be back for sure. People who run the place are so friendly. Maybe we will come back in the summer next time to do some activities on the Lake! Highly Recommend!

"love it here and have stayed 3 times now . It's a great base for our hiking. Chalets are fully equipped with everything you need. Situated on the edge of Ullswater it is handy for Hellvellyn, the Ullswater steamers ,many different walks and water sports and boat hire just along the road. Staff are very friendly and helpful. On site you can make use of the fire pit which is set behind the chalets. It makes a nice change from staying in hotels and is perfect if you have children."

"It's unusual for me to give a 5 star rating to a place that's.... when all said and done, pretty basic BUT I just love the place! It's so beautiful and peaceful away from the traditional tourist areas of the Lakes and the kids can play in total safety and freedom."

“What a fabulous place to stay for walking and cycling in the Ullswater lake area. Chalets are well equipped, comfortable and very homely, location is great, but what really makes it stand out are the staff who are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks go to Mike who went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and gave us some great recommendations for walks and bike rides. Really looking forward to staying again in 2020.”

“Just back from another lovely week at Patterdale Hall Estate. The Chalet was warm, comfortable and we particularly liked the new shower/bathroom. The fantastic weather meant we were out every day and on several days we took advantage of the numerous local walks to leave our car behind.
