More spacious than our chalets, lodges are a great choice for large family groups. The 3 bedroom format works well for accommodating extended family, friends, or children of different age groups.
Benefitting from their proximity to Waterfall Woods, lodge guests frequently report badger and red squirrel sightings from their windows and verandas.
And with red deer and over 50 different species of birds regularly sighted, the accommodation is a delight for nature lovers.
LODGE 1
“The Hollow”
Tucked in the corner of the grounds. The living room looks out into the trees – perfect for bird watching.

Living Room – Wooden walls adorn this large living space. Boasting excellent views of Place fell and the private grounds.
Kitchen – You’ll fight to do the dishes with views like this. Well-equipped cooking space.
Bedroom 1 – Double bedroom sleeping two, built-in vanity and storage unit in a cosy wooden bedroom
Bedroom 2 – Twin room sleeping two, with built-in vanity and storage.
Bedroom 3 – Bunk room sleeping two, with built-in vanity and storage.
Bathroom – Family bathroom, with bath and shower above.
Outside – Shared lawns and estate grounds
- Access – Lodges are all raised about a foot from the ground – so around two steps to climb. Lodge 3 The Drey is our only ramped access property in this range, also Bizzard in our Lake View Lodges.
- Garden/grounds – They are found on a communal lawn, you have your own private deck and barbeque space.
- Parking – provided for up to two cars per property in a central car park. Lodge 3 The Drey has a parking space beside it.
- WIFI – All properties benefit from their own wifi network
- Firepit – All properties are able to use the separate picnic area with a communal fire pit.
- No pets – Apologies, these Lodges are pet-free. (see Lishman House and Lake View Lodges for our pet-friendly accommodation)
- All properties have use of our on-site Launderette.
Our properties are equipped to be lived in – from a veggie peeler to a wall map of the lakes, it’s all there. By all means, get in touch if you need anything in particular.
So now all you need to bring is your suitcase, yourself… and a sense of adventure.
We provide fully made beds and towels for all.
We’ll even throw in one complimentary toilet roll to get you through the first day!

“The Sett”
As the name suggests… Badgers live here. We’ve got an active Sett in the trees behind the Lodge. The locals won’t bother you but they’re lovely to watch.
