Job Purpose & Description
Do you enjoy varied indoor and outdoor activities? Patterdale is an amazing location in the Lake District with great scenery, private woodlands and a lake, allowing for walking, water sports and much more! Our staff often take up the opportunity to swim, paddle board and run in their spare time, what would you do?
In this role the post holder is expected to perform maintenance and improvements as required, ensuring timely and effective interventions are made through maintaining our land/properties. You will also be required to assist management with resources, including contractors, in respects to building related development. We are ideally looking for an individual to join us who has a great team spirit and is happy to roll up their sleeves and help with tasks across The Estate.
Patterdale is part of YMCA North Tyneside, a charitable organisation that provide a range of services such as Youth & Play provisions, a Cafe and Gym in North Shields and self catering properties in Patterdale to help generate profits for our services, a community cafe in teesdale, and housing for young people who would otherwise be homeless. The Estate is situated in Patterdale, 1 miles south of Glenridding. The Estate is owned by YMCA North Tyneside, a charity that works to transform the lives of young people in the North East. Surplus (profit) from the Estate’s business goes to support YMCA North Tyneside’s charitable work.
The Estate is perfectly located to explore the best of what the Lake District has to offer and we are surrounded by a variety of walks and fantastic views that you can enjoy before or after your working day or on your days off.
